U.S. Supreme Court Justice Samuel Alito canceled his scheduled appearance today before the Forum Club of the Palm Beaches and the Palm Beach County Bar Association in West Palm Beach.
Alito's unexpected cancellation, reportedly due to a family emergency, had event planners scrambling.
Palm Beach Post humor columnist Frank Cerabino agreed to fill in with only one night's notice. He planned to take some jabs at Republican candidates on primary day.
The Forum Club's next scheduled event is a Feb. 24 speech by Gov. Rick Scott.
