Brickell Avenue, say goodbye to the Lydecker Diaz sign.
The law firm is moving across the street, taking advantage of the competitive deals on office space in Miami’s financial district.
The firm signed a 10-year lease at 1221 Brickell Ave. in Greenberg Traurig’s former space and will be moving Sept. 1. When it leaves its current location at 1201 Brickell Ave., the firm will leave behind an enormous sign gracing the building as it does not get naming rights at the new location.
“I’ll put it in my garage,” cracked managing partner Richard Lydecker.
Lydecker Diaz is adding 7,000 square feet to its current 20,000 square feet to accommodate its rapid growth. The firm has added 20 attorneys since 2009 and now has 64 lawyers.
Lydecker changed its name two years ago after former Miami Mayor Manny Diaz came aboard. The full-service law firm has small satellite offices in West Palm Beach, Orlando and Bonita Springs.
