Ever want to rub elbows with a U.S. Supreme Court justice? Here’s your chance.
Justice Stephen Breyer is coming to South Florida this month on a tour promoting his latest book, “Making Democracy Work, A Judge’s View.”
Breyer will speak at a Dade County Bar Association luncheon Feb. 15 at the Hyatt Regency Miami, then pop north for a joint luncheon of the Palm Beach County Bar Association and the Forum Club of the Palm Beaches Feb. 16 at the Palm Beach County Convention Center.
Autographed books will be available at both luncheons.
The 72-year-old San Francisco native was nominated to the Supreme Court in 1994 by President Clinton.
The Harvard law professor and lecturer also served as assistant special prosecutor on the Watergate investigation in 1973.
This is Breyer’s second book. His first — “Active Liberty: Interpreting Our Democratic Constitution” — was published in 2005.
